A recruitment consultant has been getting her hands dirty as part of a scheme to raise money for charity. |
6th December 2007 |
Grace McGaw, of Hayes Construction and Property, Chester , did a day's work on a building site as part of an annual company fundraising event, Suits on Site, which raised £5,000 for the Lighthouse Club, a charity supporting victims of workplace accidents in the construction industry.
Grace worked at St. Mary's Court building site, where five-bedroom houses are currently being built by K&C Construction.
Throughout the day, Grace had to undertake a number of labour intensive tasks, including helping with some of the key trades.
Grace Said : "It was hard work, but a great task to support a worthwhile charity, plus it gave me first-hand experience of what is required when we place people on the site"
"Across the UK, this event will raise over £5,000 for the Lighthouse Club. Thanks to K&C Construction for their generous donation, which will help us reach this target."
