CONSTRUCTION COMPANY GAINS TRIO OF BRITISH STANDARDS |
29th March 2010 |

K&C has become the only construction company based in North Wales to be awarded three prestigious British Standards.
K&C Construction has been certified BS EN ISO 9001:2008, BS EN ISO 14001:2004 and BS OHSAS 18001:2007 in recognition of its quality, environmental and occupational health and safety management systems.
The endorsement means that the Kinmel Bay company, will be able to compete against national operators for large scale projects.
“This has really put the company on the map”, said Chris White, Managing Director “It was hugely important for us to get these accreditations as they’re integral to prequalification questionnaires when pitching for work and having them means we can now tender for contracts of any size the length and breadth of the UK.”
To obtain ISO certification K&C Construction was put through a series of rigorous audits by Chamber Certification Assessment Services to ensure all its systems are of a quality worthy of awarding the company the famous kite mark.
ISO accreditation is maintained International Organisation for Standardisation and is administered by accreditation and certification bodies. Companies aiming for certification have to demonstrate best practice across all key areas of the business, evidencing how it monitors its processes and upgrades its systems to ensure continuous improvement.
