Work on the £3.5m housing scheme for the elderly will begin later this month.
The scheme, created by Denbighshire County Council in partnership with Cymdeithas Tai Clwyd, is funded through a Welsh Assembley Government Social Housing Grant and will be built K&C Construction.
Alwyn Llwyd, chief executive of Cymdeithas Tai Clwyd said "We are delighted to see months of planning and organising come to fruition as K&C Construction begin the task of developing the site at Awelon, Ruthin."
"The building work will be built to the highest standard with green environmental credentials playing a major part in the work."
